dvd- & dvd+ are like vhs & sony's beta. They're roughly equivalent. But not all devices can play or burn both formats. You need a dvd burner that can burn dvd+ if you have a dvd+ media disk. 1st you need to know what peripheral devices you have!!! Make sure you know what type of burner you have. Find out it's brand, model, & google it/search the brand's website for it to learn what it can do. Although cd's & dvd's look identical, they're definitely not!!! Obviously your cd player cannot play dvd's right! Same for a cd burner. Also not all dvd players can play dvd+ format. DVD+ format was only created 2 & half yrs ago.
