Question Need an explanation here...

In a video search there's the form box for "length". In Limewire's guide to searching it describes this box as "Length - Length of the file in bytes (deprecated)". Now can somebody explain to me how to utilize this feature? I figured at first length meant time. Then after looking it up, it seems to mean file size in bytes. Now if that's the case, how do you know what the file size is in bytes when all searches and downloads are expressed in MB or KB?!?!?! I've tried typing random numbers in here just so see if what comes up just by playing with it a bit in order to figure it out but I never get any results whatsoever.

I don't quite understand how these work. If I were to type in an actor's name and select "clip" as the type, I get results galore. Last try, 711 files and not one of them had any relevence to the actor at all. So how do you use these features?!?!
