No. It depends what your looking for. Mp3's are audio files, Mpeg, avi are video files. There are a lot of different types of files. Ones to watch out for are program files, zip, exe, ect. They are known to contain viruses. This thread should be required reading:
WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of!. Make sure your anti-virus is up to date and scan all files before you open them.
