Have you tried reinstalling Limewire after updati_ng your driver. It might help. Download the offline installer from www.limewire.com

Delete your preference folder before reinstalling

Instructions on how to do this in this thread. BTW step 5 in this thread may be an option as well

Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should
