Funny how that question was never answered. lol FW devs took away users option to disable update notices.

Just as well FrostWire uses the GNU General Public License. Thus may be adjusted in any way without conflict of any patents or copyrights, on condition it is not intended for commercial sale. Open source projects are such wonderful things for the general community.
