Free Audio Books

if the download is more than 80 minutes which my cd is...what do i do?...some downloads are like 1of4...etc but what if it isnt?...is the album wrap used for that?...some downloads are over 2 hours long or more..

I'm not into audiobooks but others on the forum are. Albumwrap is almost equivalent to zipping a bunch of mp3's except that it can be played as a single mp3. Of course to separate the individual tracks you need to use the albumwrap extractor. There's a sticky in this section about albumwrap & links. As far as reducing the size of audio books, some senior members of the forum are deep into audio books & have offered lots of advice about it in the Tips & Tricks section of the forum. Search the words audio and book or audiobook & make your search specific to the tips & tricks section. I know your question has been asked before & answered with an experienced audiobook user. Find the search button in blue at top right of page.

Somebody else just asked a question about audiobooks: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=27613 Ursula or Kath are the 2 to speak to about audiobooks! :) ;)

Oh I just realised it was you who asked the question! Doh! Silly me!

get a mp3 file splitter, go to zdnet.com they have try for 30 days, i just use the program until my 30 days runs out and then i get another. make a new folder on your desk top and tell the file splitter to split in that folder, then rename it using copy and paste

Switch from PC to Mac. How it affects my audiobooks and format?

I have recently switched to a Mac and was wondering if Itunes music store is a better place to purchase audio books or another source? My whole life I have used alternate ways of purchasing my music, audio books, and other sources. It is really hard to change to a whole new way of doing things. What is the best way to switch to itunes, without losing my process of organization I already have? Macs are really amazing, but I am losing productivity since I switched from a PC, because of all the new hotkeys, mouses, and scrollbars that are all new to me. How long does it take to adjust?

Lord of the Rings February 3rd, 2009 10:03 PM

Hotkeys can be customized ;)

I cannot answer your other questions because I have almost always primarily been a Mac user. :)

Search around this section, there are some posts with links to free audiobooks, etc.

There is a sci-fi comedy audiobook, called Grunt RX-10. It’s so funny you will laugh out loud.
:D

If you’re an audiobookworm or just want to get started listening to audiobooks, you’ve come to the right place.

Sleepless edit: removed spamming link to bookstore. "Don't use this site for advertising."
