About profiles here...

I recently joined this forum and was filling out some of my profile information. I notice when i click on a member's name here it shows a section for links to public groups that they may belong to. However, when i went to fill out my profile i didn't see an option to put links in for that.
Am i losing it or what?

Click on "User CP" upper left of this page. Then under "Control Panel" on the left side click "Edit Profile" . Then in the block that says "Home Page URL", enter it there and at the bottom of the page click "Save Changes" :).

The Forum FAQ has a lot of that type of information.

I have wondered what these public groups could be from time to time and it is a feature that can be employed by administrators of vbulletin forums, or so I gather from attempting a little research. They are not employed in these forums (unless I am missing something) ..so that is why you see no members belonging to public groups. It is nothing to do with groups unrelated to the Forums, and can in any event only be edited, I would assume, by forum administrators. You now know as much as I do, and are probably utterly mistified ...as I am :D:D all I can say, is take no notice:)

I haven't investigated it very much. But it's an option AFAIK in the vBulletin forum software. I haven't seen any need for it so far. But the listing of it in member's profiles is by default. Not to say it won't be investigated further in future. Definitions of "public" group would need to be agreed to. We currently have a limited no. of groups of members.

Depending upon how the forums develop, there's a chance for such an option. But, as suggested earlier.
