Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire program connecting to the Gnutella network. (not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.

Default mac user system 9 can't connect

just purchased and downloaded lime wire pro
mac user system 9 can't connect
the word "connect" under "File" in my limewire
is grayed out and everytime i try to find something like music
or whatever it tells me i need to conncect under file but i can't!

HELP!!

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up: 1. OS 9.? 2. What firewalls you have, 3. ram, 4. HDD space available, 5. Connection type, 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers, 7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
These details are vital if you want us to find out what your connection problem is.

Try leaving LW for at least half an hr to see if it connects.

Also make sure you have the last update of Java for OS9: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120209

& also see this: MacOS9 download sticks on "saving file", no :complete

Don't forget to Re-Build your Desktop after installing any software: restart your comp whilst holding down both the Option & Apple keys until you see the question asking to rebuild. Press ok to do this.
