gnutellahosts.com is dead so how can i get limewire to find hosts to connect to???

i'm using 1.4b on MacOS 9.1.

clip2's gnutellahosts service is dead, so when i launch limewire it doesn't find any hosts (since router.limewire.com never worked anyway).

how do i get new autoconnect hosts?

thanx

tried the connect...gnutellanet host caches, but

1. they don't seem to work for me
2. how do i store them as preferred autoconnect hosts (since maybe that's part of the problem)

hmmm?

maybe I am not getting something... but I have no hosts at all and I just downloaded this again. My last computer got stolen. My connection Status is leaf. I have tried to add hosts but nothing actually gets put on the screen. Am I just an idiot?

Do you realise that you've posted onto a thread that's over 6 years old?

Make sure that you're only using 1 software firewall & that LW's being allowed through it.

Try the advice here: all of a sudden will not connect (a fix to try)
Start off by deleting LW's preferences folder & changing Java versions.
You'll know if you've deleted the preferences folder properly...when you start LW, you'll go through the setup wizard again & all the settings within LW's options will have changed.

If you're a Vista user, things are a bit different for Vista when finding the preferences folder & other files/folders within Application Data. This thread should help with that: LimeWire Pref Folder in Vista

If nothing there helps, please give us your details.
