Limewire hangs

Help!!! Limewire hangs at Loading user interface.

I'm using Windows XP, with cable connection, and a router. Any ideas. I have already tried deleting the .limewire folder and all that.

Same Problem Here but this is a new problem. It worked a week ago or so. I'm also using Comcast, the latest version of Java, and the latest version of Limewire Pro. If this is really a new Comcast policy I think we might have heard more about it? Thanks.

Daxx September 7th, 2005 03:45 PM

I couldn't find anymore info, but I did try and ARES P2P and it works fine. But I would really rather use Limewire. Especially since I paid for the PRO version, and from what I hear a superior P2P.

JJJ September 7th, 2005 07:16 PM

I'm sure it isn't Comcast since I tried an older version of Limewire on an old laptop of mine and it still works fine. Since this new version worked for a while, I suspect it may have something to do with JAVA (my JAVA updated itself to a new version recently, Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_04-b05))

Again, it isn't Comcast since older versions of your software with older versions of JAVA work fine.

Thanks.
