Default Serious HELP Required

Right, been using Limewire for a good year or so now, and updated when the new patch came out, but even then I did not have these problems.

I am running Windows XP, and have only Windows Firewall and AVG Virus Scan; both are configged properly with all ports forwarded etc, unblocked on firewall.

Anyways everything was going well top speeds well over 100kb, and I still get that now, however over the last 2 weeks, ive been downloading with all green bars on superb connection and when start downloading it may start downloading from maybe 8 people; and flys, however WITHOUT FAIL it cuts out to 0kb.

At first for the first few times I thought it was users just disconnecting but it happens EVERY time and I've tried downloading about 100 files since, and without fail it's gone down to 0kb and connections drop off, and eventually it says "No Connection" - even though I am connected to the internet!

Anyone help me out here and/or encoutered similar problems and managed to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Mark

Dont worry mate, im form the UK and im with Tiscali, 2mb connection, i was getting speeds well over 100kbps up to 2 weeks ago, now i still have a turbo-charged connection and i connect to about 14 users when downb, oading a popular file but my download starts at 5kbps and then goes to 0kbps whilst still connected to 14 users. This was happenin to other users aswell we were discussing it a few weeks ago. soz ive got no solution and im really pissed off at it.

Are you sure the ISP isn't temporarrily disconnecting you? It seems like an easy way to irritate file sharers. I believe rr does it to me occasionally when I'm downloading multiple files at high speeds.

Try ,Options - Advanced - Firewall Config. Change listening port to 80. This was suggested a couple of weeks ago and its worked for me.

Where did you get your version of LimeWire at if you are downloading from 14 host on one file it has been hacked. If you did't hack it there is no telling what other kind of goodies are in it. Viruses, Trojans, spyware, etc.

this isp disconnection thing - how do you stop that? is it as a result of the listening port thing?
