Default issue searching, fake results pop up instantly

Bad results are always popping up no matter what I do. I can't get a real search off because of these bad results. What can I do?

Could you clarify please?

What do you mean by a 'bad' or 'real' search?

Are the files you download fake or can't you find what you are looking for?

I too am having this problem. What happens is that no matter what you type in as a search topic, the same 2 files appear instantly.

Exactly what the guy above has said! The same files appear with a huge user total of who has it. And nothing else really pops up.

That didn't help one bit. Can you tell me how to do this? I am getting fake results, and want to stop that. The fake results dominate my search, and when the high number of fake results it ends my search prematurely. I know the files I am looking for are out there, and the are not working because of this problem.

I didn't understand what was in the links or the walk through. It was not very clear.

I've been getting it too and it really slows down any searches that i do. I started doing some popular searches and those two would pop up every time and be the only results i get for several minutes. Finally got'em filtered.

What are their exact sizes in bytes? those exact file names get no results, so
searching by size is probably the best way to track these guys down.

Also, right-click those files, select "Advanced" and "Copy Magnet Links to
Clipboard" and PM the magnets to me.

I'll run some searches and see if I can
come up with new firewall rules for those spammers.

How do you search by size? The file sizes are 19631 kb and 13209 kb.

I use a specially equipped cluster of BearShare ultrapeers to scan the whole
network for all kinds of stuff like that. One of the features common to all recent
versions of BearShare is the ability to set minimum and maximum sizes in
searches. This comes in handy when searching for many of the common worms
and spam where the size is known but the filenames are unpredictable.

Which size is which?

Gotcha! The spam has an embedded link that would cause Quicktime to send
messages back to a hidden tracking server three times during playback.

I have that spammer blocked already in the Fullsize Hostiles List. In fact, I
decided to block all of their address space because no legitimate gnutella user
would have an internet account in there anyway.

Domain servers in listed order:
NS5.SECURESERVER.NET
NS6.SECURESERVER.NET
I heard about Skyrider months ago, when they first announced their plan to
spam gnutella, and blocked their host, Go Daddy Software, Inc pre-emptively.

Looks like I guessed right.

If you have LimeWire 4.13 you can use my [ fullsize hostiles list] to protect
yourselves. Odds are high my blocks on all of Go Daddy will block this stuff.

If you want to firewall their asses too, here are their current ranges:
Go Daddy Software, Inc:64.202.160.0-64.202.191.255
Go Daddy Software, Inc:68.178.128.0-68.178.255.255
Go Daddy Software, Inc:208.109.0.0-208.109.255.255
Go Daddy Software, Inc:216.69.128.0-216.69.191.255

If you really want to burn their plan use Media Player Classic to watch all .mov
files from now on. It has none of those security backdoors so that spammer
will never get to track you.

The trailer for Pride was pretty good, by the way. Definitely a movie you'd
take the girlfriend to see.
