I made the biggest mistake in my life! Please help me

Let me explain,

I wanted to share my files and folders on Lime Wire, so, I put them onto it. But then I realized that I had put too many files, some files that I didn't want to share, such as private letters, or school documents, etc... So I deleted them by using the "delete folders" button. BUT I DIDN'T KNOW THAT THEY WERE ACUTALLY DELETED FROM MY HARD DRIVE! I mean, I thought they were just deleted from Lime Wire, that's all, but now I realize I have lost them, all of them!! They aren't even in my trash can.

IS THERE A WAY TO FIND THEM BACK, PLEASE? It would help me a lot, otherwise, I'm dead.

Thanks a lot
xavier

thanks a lot.
But what's that Norton Utilities CD?

Thanks
xavier

PS: I think that f***ing "delete files" option was really badly done, since I'm not the only one in trouble with it. When you use that fonction, you feel like thinking it's only to delete files FROM YOUR LYBRARY.

How much clearer can it be? The Button says "DELETE", and there's even a confirmation Yes/No message box question.

Sorry to be blunt, but this was the User's mistake. The person Deleted their files, period. Not to mention this was after they moved files, and entire folders, to Shared. This is how novice computer people learn, the hard way.

Doesn't Norton have some expensive "data recovery" app. of some kind?
For what it's worth, I sympathise, having shared my entire harddisk over a network of approx. 300 tech support agents.

If you have Windows ME you can actually go back to before you deleted them. But thats only if you have Windows Me
