These volunteers keep the board organized and moving. Moderators are authorized to: (in order of increasing severity) Move posts to the correct forums. Many times, members post in the wrong forum. These off-topic posts may impede the normal operation of the forum. Edit posts. Moderators will edit posts that are offensive or break any of the House Rules. Delete posts. Posts that cannot be edited to comply with the House Rules will be deleted. Restrict members. This is one of the last punishments before a member is banned. Restrictions may include placing all new posts in a moderation queue or temporarily banning the offender. Ban members. The most severe punishment. Three or more moderators or administrators must agree to the ban for this action to occur. Banning is reserved for very severe offenses and members who, after many warnings, fail to comply with the House Rules. Banning is permanent. Bans cannot be removed by the moderators and probably won't be removed by the administration. The Rules 1. Warez, copyright violation, or any other illegal activity may NOT be linked or expressed in any form. Topics discussing techniques for violating these laws and messages containing locations of web sites or other servers hosting illegal content will be silently removed. Multiple offenses will result in consequences. 2. Spamming and excessive advertising will not be tolerated. 3. There will be no excessive use of profanity in any forum. 4. There will be no racial, ethnic, or gender based insults, or any other personal attacks. 5. Pictures may be attached to posts and signatures if they are not sexually explicit or offensive. 6. Remember to post in the correct forum. Take your time to look at other threads and see where your post will go. If your post is placed in the wrong forum it will be moved by a moderator. 7. If you see a post in the wrong forum or in violation of the House Rules, please contact a moderator via Private Message or the "Report this post to a moderator" link at the bottom of every post. Please do not respond directly to the member - a moderator will do what is required. 8. Any impersonation of a forum member in any mode of communication is strictly prohibited and will result in banning. 9. Multiple copies of the same post will not be tolerated. Post your question, comment, or complaint only once. There is no need to express yourself more than once. Duplicate posts will be deleted with little or no warning. 10. Posts should have descriptive subjects. Vague titles such as "Help!", "Why?", and the like may not get enough attention to the contents. 11. Do not divulge anyone's personal information in the forum, not even your own. This includes e-mail addresses, IP addresses, age, house address, and any other distinguishing information. Don´t use eMail addresses in your nick. 12. Signatures may be used as long as they are not offensive or sexually explicit. 13. Failure to show that you have read the forum rules may result in forum rules breach infraction points or warnings awarded against you which may later total up to an automatic temporary or permanent ban. Supplying system details is a prerequisite in most cases, particularly with connection or installation issues. Violation of any of these rules will bring consequences, determined on a case-by-case basis. Thank You! Thanks for taking the time to read these forum guidelines. We hope your visit is helpful and mutually beneficial to the entire community. |

| Hi, I just recently upgraded and my incomplete downloads from the previous version wont resume I get the following error: You are already downloading this file to (insert directory here etc).. Problem is, when i search for the same files, it says the download is broken with that broken paper icon, which is why i try to resume and get the above error. I don't really know what to do besides maybe rollback to a previous version, are there any other options I have and does anyone else have the same problems? Im running XP, sp2, all java updated, spyware/adware free and regularly scan. I dont think it has anything to do with my system as it is in perfect condition. Thanks for anyones input much appreciated. I'm thinking this version might save files in a different way? Kind Regards, -nah Last edited by nahman : July 2nd, 2008 at 02:36 AM. |

| I FOUND THE ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!1 Ok 1. Cancel the file in your downloads pane 2. Make sure you find the same file using search and it has the broken paper icon and double click on it 3. it resumes from previous and there shouldnt be any problems |

| I found this out a couple days ago. It really does work. The only problem, and it's not very commom anyway, it that if you can't locate the same file again, it will become very frustrating. Other that that, it's perfect. As you said, it will resume at the exact point that it was interrupted. Very handy to know. ![]() D. |

That's an olde skool solution that works with many p-p clients. The double-click in step 2 is to start the download. The "new" download will append to the data you previously downloaded. That's why it must be the same file (or an exact copy, i.e., it doesn't have to be from the same source). kewl. |

| I got a similar question, in my case i was downloading a torrent from LW, i had like a 95% downloaded but, because of reasons out of my control my computer turned off. When i restarted the computer appeared a message saying that i had to go to the incomplete folder and just resume the download, and it has the same broken paper icon. But when i try to resume the download it appears a new message saying: A file already exist. But it doesn't let me restart the download!! And i can't find the file using search cause i downloaded the file in other site. If i try to open again the torrent the LW show another message saying if I want to rewrite the file or make a new folder for that file. What can I do? Because i don't want to lose my 95% downloaded, it weighs 2GB!! Please, Cam you support me? |
