Default can't connect to network

when i try to connet to the network using bearshare pro 4.6 the left most LED (hosts) just falshes read and then when it does connect it says mode:Leaf. which is slow as hell i have never had this problem with bearshare. I have tried shareeza bu it is not as fast as bearshare. is there some things wrong w/i my fire wall?? I have Zone alarm 6.0..... but i have the seeting so it allows bearshre to connect to the internet. What is wrong
