whats your question jeev |
Please help Hi all you lovely new people join the club :laugh_2:. I wonder if there is an effective way of getting people not to ignore a post? I've got 0 responses so far to my post entitled 'not downloading fileerror and I can't start using bearshare until I get some help. Can anyone be of assistance? :Smilywais: |
paulie28, You're not being ignored. I haven't used BS in years, so no help from me. If BS is a new installation on your machine, you may have a bad copy. I've seen many users request links for earlier versions of BS, as newer versions seem to cause trouble. Did BS previously work on your machine? What is your OS? I looked through pages of posts while trying to find reference to your error message. Alas, your problem seems unique. When does the message pop up (starting BS, or when you attempt download)? Add a little more info, repost on the BS thrread, and I'm sure someone will get back to you. Good luck. |
Thanks for the response. Yeah I will write again on BS related pages rather than here. Likewise I have ploughed through many threads and not found the same problem :(. But anyways I am using Vista. It has never worked on my current laptop, but it did on my old pc with XP. cheers  |
hello im new 2 but i do have a question! why is it when i download a file it can be very quick then the next moment it slows down to a virtual halt? |
Which version of BearShare are you using? |
hmmm..bearshare!! looks like im on the wrong board. i had limewire basic but upgraded it to pro today. the basic was fine but since i've installed the pro it seems to have ground to a halt. i've checked my norton security center and allowed limewire. I also looked at the connections. several ultra peers but very little band width and high percentage of dropped files. example of their bandwidth looks like this! 0.029/0.005kb/s dropped 56% why is this happening? thanks! |
