I have now bought a laptop, but wonder if I have to pay to download LW again? Any way to transfer it? I would love to be able to keep my LW Library tunes I've gathered.

Hi,

I am running Fedora Linux, and until now always was using the platform-independent limewire distribution. I found it pretty cool to run it right from the folder I unziped it.

Now I tried downloading Limewire again, and only was offered debian packages.
Please, give us back the platform independent .zip package.

Thank you in advance, Clemens

Just joined the forum so...treat me gently.

I have a question I need to ask, I reckon I know the answer but still would like to ask it.

I just downloaded a tune and got a "Congratulations Limewire / Frostwire has selected you to receive a free Iphone 4 or Ipad"...this is a spam, right?

If it is the tune I selected was "reflections of my life" by The Marmalade and there were 3 links at the bottom of the screen.

The address to register was www.limewirepromo.com.

Any suggestions, aprt from "Don't go there"...bet I get a reply saying that :D

I'm trying to share my songs using MP3 Rocket actually, and I'm sure this works for Limewire as well.. but I can't seem to get them in the public, as far as I know. I want to make sure that people have access to download my songs, and I try searching them using MP3 Rocket and I don't see anything, how do I know? thanks

I have gone through all the threads and haven't seen this one.
LW 5.5.14, Java 6.31
Both have been uninstalled and installed. Deleted Limewire preference folder. I don't have NERO or Alcohol. tried everything I have read.

What happens is I get the error message while LW loads. If I click close, all closes. If I ignore the error message LW will load and can be used! It downloads files, I can play stuff in my folder, acts almost normally.
But I have to move the close pop up to the bottom of the screen. If I close it the program closes.

Error Signature
AppName: Limewire.exe
AppVer 1.0.0.3
ModName: Java.dll
Mod Ver 6.0.210.7 Offset: 00004e20
