Default Seen anyone using frostwire?

I haven't seen anyone connect to me (or that I've connected to) that is using it (yet). How 'bout you?

I have If you enable the "Distribution" column in the search window, you might see rarely a "SNOW" result. SNOW is the FW vendor code.

You could do a search for frostwire and fall on some folks...

Of course we aren't a lot we only get 1 500 downloads a day right now

yes, there are more FWs around But many of those are scammed people unfortunately.

The more FWs there are, the better Gnet will heal when LW goes DRM.

We get about 1 500 downloads daily which is low, but better than nothing
http://sourceforge.net/project/stats...1&ugn=limewire

The LW crawler is undercounting FW nodes and mix them with LW nodes stats, but I'd estimate our number of user online between 5 000- 8 000 at any time.

Occasionally someone uploading will be Frostwire. BearShare, or 360Share whatever that is.

Default I use it !

And it's very good thanks - after much reading of the Limewire forums I have configured it nicely getting good reliable downloads ~ 120Kb and can push uploads to ~60Kb.

A few bugs in the beta I am using relating to the filtering being missing otherwise very good..

I didn't say, but I have started using Frostwire too. I have both Frostwire and Limewire basic. They are very similar. I was using them both and switching back and forth and decided that of the two, Frostwire is little better. With Frostwire you get 4 ultrapeers instead of three.

I think Limewire Pro would probably be better except in Limewire neither Chat nor Freeloader option are functional. I like the ability to use Chat to occasionally send a message to someone. Also, I like to be able to restrict Freeloaders. For those two reasons, I decided that I would Frostwire and not upgrade to Limewire Pro. Of course things change so, at a latter date, I could end up using Limewire Pro.

EDIT: Since posting the above on 2/6/07, I have returned to Limewire. With Frostwire at least an average of once a day a number of files being uploaded will be stuck at 'Queued (#)'. Several hours later the same files are still stuck at 'Queued (#)' and there would be no further uploads. Only by X-ing out and restarting Frostwire would uploads resume. This has not happened with Limewire so I am considering upgrading to Limewire Pro. Perhaps, in the near future, Frostwire will find and fix the bug.
