FrostWire so slow HELP ME

Hi every body. I just have downloaded Forstwire and i have to say its slower then a snail. I know there must be some way to make it faster or nobody would even touch this. Any way when i start the program it take about 3 minuets then the icons don't even come up until you poot your mouse over it. Then another 8 minuets to do a search and after the shearch i just freezes up. or els it takes so long to see the search list i just think i freezes up. And plus i cant do any other thing on the computer while im running Forstwire. So i could really use some help. I have searched the forums and found a few other people witht he same problem but i cant figure out what to do. Im kinda new at all this downloading stuff. IF you could help me i would really appreciate. Thanks so much!!!!

This is a know problem, FW will use 100% CPU if it can't import preferences from a previous LimeWire installation. We won't release a new version until we fix that -- we had a new release (4.10.5) ready, but we hope to get that fixed soon.

I hope you'll dare try our next version ;)

Merci

firstly hi hello and don't give up,

I first had all these prob ok and i was where you are right now.

1. i did this i first got rid of the program and all my java on my add/remove programs

2.then i got the beta version FW 4.9.34

( when i download that version it looks for the lastest java and i let load it to my comp[uter)

and thats about it for me but i will say that i am now got astable visible frostwire and a turbo charged connection as i have a DSL 1500 downstrean and 256 upstream connection but i am now not download very well but thats another issue.

but i will say that there is talk on the forums that maybe you should try the older java 1.4.2

i will do that now and lwet you know buddy

FrostWire 4.9.37 Beta , fixed all my problems. I downloaded the latest version from frostwire.com (FrostWireWin-4.10.3-0-Beta.exe), and upon loading ... i couldn't barely move my mouse, the options screen was really messed up to, cpu utilization was 100% ... it was really bad). 4.9.37 works flawlessly though

I hope this isn't gunna be a major issue for long, Frostwire is the best program I ever have used for p2p and its a shame the new beta has such a massive defect like it does. Hope this gets fixed : ( because I am sure the older versions won't work forever.
