Unhappy Is this a virus? why can't i open my shared folder?

Ok, so i was downloading numerous files one day, mainly audio files. I had one or two images downloading as well. Well, as soon as one of the images hit 100% complete, my frostwire shut itself down and i got the message saying "windows explorer must close" with the options to Debug, Send Error Report, or Don't Send Error Report. Odd, right? so then i try to open frostwire back up and i get the same message. lame. i go to my shared folder to investigate to find out that, when i click on the folder to open it, i get the same damn message and it won't open. I cant delete my shared folder or and folder that Shared happens to be in. I cannot delete this file. I ran a virus scan with McAfee and found multiple threatening files, but all of them were cleaned no problemo. This file, however, didn't show up as a threat. So I tried to use the good ol' shredder McAfee offers to get rid of two other files and then this one that is causing me so much trouble. The other two are shredded just fine, but the one that started it all would not. when i clicked on the file (and the only way i have even been able to access this file is through the shredder menu. i still can't even open it though) it said that "filename blah blah blah is invalid" and it wouldn't shred it. I uninstalled frostwire and all associated files, but it left the shared folder. I need this file gone. Uhmm....help??

Can you be a bit more precise with the error messages? It would help a lot.
