Windows users find 'clean' versions of FW here Bundle Free Clean FrostWire! (Windows only) . (These versions have had their junkware removed, something the official FW website dishonestly claimed for over a year that FW did not have. Affected versions were 4.20 & 4.21. Portable versions also available.) A few extra installers found on post#33 of the same thread or in the iFileIt folder link on first page.


* Please note: Unless using File_Girl's Windows versions of 4.20 or 4.21, if you wish to install 4.20 or 4.21 for any platform, uncheck option to install 3rd party software which is set to install as default. Watch the installer options carefully!

Which is the best version to use? Personally I found 4.20.9 connects in a flash, better than 4.21 but it's really up to what works best on your system.

For anybody who is unaware, FrostWire version 5 does not connect to the Gnutella network. Thus we are unable to give support for a torrent only program. Simply ignore the FW program requests to update to version 5.
