Default Spamware/useware BLOCKED! Way to go KaZaA!

KaZaA planned on using your CPU cycles and network resources to distribute their SPAM!
They are now Blocked! (from download.com that is)
Want to block other spyware/useware clients on Gnutella?
The software is here http://opensourcep2p.sf.net

Do you think KaZaA is the only one drooling over the ability to distribute their SPAM via your CPU and network resources?

CNET: "Kazaa, the popular file-sharing program, has been removed from CNET's Download.com page as of Thursday. According to The San Francisco Chronicle, Kazaa was removed because it included bundled software that formed a distributing network on user hard drives utilizing the computer's processing power and Internet connections. This was a violation of software policies."

What's your "software policy" on Gnutella abuse?

i liked the idea of distributing unused cyles for scientific research, but just using our PCs for their ad servers was just sad.

with SETI you know what your CPU cycles are going for, and they explain what the program does + what the data format is

Thumbs down stop spamming please

Please stop spamming the forum with that opensourcep2pnet . Ok idea is perhaps cool and you needs some advertising but please find another way to do that other than answering to every thread and put a link to your site in the middle of your text.
Thanks
