Programmer on Strike!

I will not add one line of code more until BearShare and LimeWire go to their own private name brand network.
I will not contribute any more of my time towards their personal profit.

Anyone else ready to stand up for Gnutella?

I'll contribute a line or two, for you.

Programer of what? You are on strike so what client will stop moving forward? I dont think you are going to have any luck getting LW and BS off gnutella. Besides, isnt everyone here already complaining because they have created their own networks (which they havent)? You ppl are confused. You need to get your conspiracy theories straight if you ever want to be a convincing dolutional psycotic.

well Morgwen...

what is it then? Is bearshare evil because it has "left" the network by creating its own network (aka The BS blackhole) or does it need to leave the network?

There is no confusion. There are people that hate Bearshare and no logic will change that. Their opinions are not rational (hence the dualism) and hense no arguement will really change that.

There are several reasons why bearshare might be evil, the MAIN reason is VINNIE!!!

So all people who are not logic are trolls???

I think all people can say what they think if true or not, but funny is that many people say the same about bearshare and always the same people say these are lies (normally bearshare VIPs and mods!!!).

Is this logic? :p

???

if i connect to "connect1.gnutellanet.com", i get addresses of different clients. if they include an address of a bearshare client, i connect, it holds the connection for 15 seconds, fills my local host-cache with addresses of other bearshare-clients behaving the same way and cuts the connection.

it is very hard to get stable connections, if there is no Gnucleus, MorpheusPE or Mutella connection supplying you with addresses of clients, that hold connections longer than 15 sec.!

BS is still using Gnutella for "back up" even with the black hole. Shouldn't a for profit client have to pay for that in some way? Like advertising to get more people to use the client, or run a bank of computers at their office to support them all?
Why spend money when Gnutella is free?
How convenient for their checkbook.

In the future servents should try to maintain 2 connections or 3 of every vender they have a connection to. That means, keeping connections to as many DIFFERENT servents as possible.

Yes it WAS possible until Limewire and bearshare closed their hostcaches for the public!!! Now there are only the gnutellanet caches left for the public!

Limewire uses also the gnutellanet caches as a standard, bearshare NOT!
