Try to make your post descriptive, specific, and clear so members can quickly and efficiently help you LimeWire and FrostWire users need to supply these details >>> System details - help us to help you (click on blue link) Moderators There are senior members on the forums who serve as Moderators. These volunteers keep the board organized and moving. Moderators are authorized to: (in order of increasing severity) Move posts to the correct forums. Many times, members post in the wrong forum. These off-topic posts may impede the normal operation of the forum. Edit posts. Moderators will edit posts that are offensive or break any of the House Rules. Delete posts. Posts that cannot be edited to comply with the House Rules will be deleted. Restrict members. This is one of the last punishments before a member is banned. Restrictions may include placing all new posts in a moderation queue or temporarily banning the offender. Ban members. The most severe punishment. Three or more moderators or administrators must agree to the ban for this action to occur. Banning is reserved for very severe offenses and members who, after many warnings, fail to comply with the House Rules. Banning is permanent. There will be no racial, ethnic, or gender based insults, or any other personal attacks. 5. Pictures may be attached to posts and signatures if they are not sexually explicit or offensive. 6. Remember to post in the correct forum. Take your time to look at other threads and see where your post will go. If your post is placed in the wrong forum it will be moved by a moderator. 7. If you see a post in the wrong forum or in violation of the House Rules, please contact a moderator via Private Message or the "Report this post to a moderator" link at the bottom of every post. Please do not respond directly to the member - a moderator will do what is required. 8. Any impersonation of a forum member in any mode of communication is strictly prohibited and will result in banning. 9. Multiple copies of the same post will not be tolerated. Post your question, comment, or complaint only once. There is no need to express yourself more than once. Duplicate posts will be deleted with little or no warning. 10. Posts should have descriptive subjects. Vague titles such as "Help!", "Why?", and the like may not get enough attention to the contents. 11. Do not divulge anyone's personal information in the forum, not even your own. This includes e-mail addresses, IP addresses, age, house address, and any other distinguishing information. Don´t use eMail addresses in your nick. 12. Signatures may be used as long as they are not offensive or sexually explicit. 13.  A Question About Porn Hi, My fiance and I have been together for five years. In the past, he has claimed and sworn to me that porn disgusts and sickens him. However, two days after he downloaded LimeWire onto our new computer, I came home from work and saw that Internet History had been erased. That was pretty weird. So I tried searching through the history, and about 30 files came up listed as C:\MySharedFolder\Pictures\_____.jpg (something like that). It was all porn. They had all been deleted, but the history/links to the C drive were all still there. Now, when I confronted him about it, he claimed he had no idea how they got there. Then he tried to say that they were probably somehow uploaded on there by one of the other users while he was trying to download MP3s. I told him that was impossible, since the only way they can get onto your computer is if you click on the files to upload them. Someone also told me that sometimes people rename files as MP3s but they turn out to be porn instead. That has happened to me and a friend of mine before. But, I found this morning a My Recent Documents folder, which holds all of the recent documents that have been opened/viewed in the last few days. The porn files were in there, but they were shortcuts and the originals had been deleted. To make it short (although it's already too long anyway), is there ANY possible way that porn files could have been sneaked into the My Shared Folder from LimeWire by a user that my fiance was uploading MP3s from? I know the answer already, but i'd just like to know if there is any kind of bug or virus that someone could have used to upload that porn. He is not the type to lie, but I don't trust men (from my own personal experiences in the past) any further than I can throw a rock at them. So if anyone here knows of ANY way that he can prove me wrong and show that he IS telling the truth, please let me know. This has been causing extreme problems in our relationship for the past three days.  |

| 'Proof' as you refer to in your final paragraph, is not possible... BUT, please take a look around these forums for other posts that relate to this overall subject. As a very short 'starter' for you... Yes, it is possible for people to unwittingly download a file that, when innocently opened, will direct the users machine to from one to thousands of different 'porn sites'... You will see numerous posts here related to this same problem... Most from either parents or older siblings concerned about younger children... (And, of course, since all husbands and boyfriends are just younger children, it should be useful to you !) I should also quickly mention that the 'bad files' with links and such are not confined to one particular size range or type... Whether it is some 700MB mega-file or a 300kB eBook file, there could be included such garbage... Last, keep in mind that many totally innocent people have spent long times in jails and courts because of precisely the same things and the same instant suppositions of guilt. I am sure you can probably think of numerous famous people who have been burned this way when they were in fact completely blameless. p.s. With your nick, one hopes that you don't finally do him in with a pendulum !!!

| Ok I'll sound harsh but you gotta ask these questions to yourself Morticia: 1)if he likes women, why would he dislike porn? 2)why do you think he erases things so you not see after 5 years? 3)why are you so disturbate about porn and why do you not trust men? My early diagnostic is that you are oppressive with him and you do not threat him as an equal individual, try to be less opressive you are not his mother for god's sake! Bonne chance quand même

| He's probably saved those pictures from the web (using the browser) to your shared folder. I doubt Limewire has anything to do with that. However, I do think this is not a big deal. Just take it easy with him. You can't blame him for being a man. Ivan In the dark we make a brighter light

Hey he is a man... he likes women where is the problem? You should ask yourself why he is doing this without your knowledge. If I would discover something like this, I would view the pictures together with my partner and test some of the things we see... *the rest is censored*. Really after five years its normal that men look at other women (women do the same but they think we are stupid and don´t know it), as long he is "eating" at home it shouldn´t be a problem. Don´t blame him for his desires, better ask him if he likes what he sees and if he want to test some of the things... perhaps he is shy and can´t talk with you about his desires? Do you talk with him about yours? To make it short this is no "technical" problem, this is a "communication" problem. Just my worthless two cents. Morgwen
