Help: Downloaded a file from "Feria Law" firm

I downloaded a file that I thought was safe until I saw an email address attached to it: "george.ortha@ferialaw.com". I'm slightly afraid that this is a bait or something for litigation. Apparently it is a law firm in the Philippines and this George guy has a lot of torrents and the like posted out there. Should I be worried about being sued by this thing or am I worried about nothing?

I do not think you have any reason to be worry about it!!!:) If it still bother you, simple delete the file and do not download any more from this "George" guy and you should be fine...;)

Any updates

Hi Cornell, File_Girl
I inadvertently downloaded an album with the lawfirm tag, but immediately deleted it. I did not play any song.

One Internet forum talks about the fact that if the songs were played on a device connected to the internet, the fact that the song was played could be tracked as the metadata was hard encoded in the mp3 song. However, it does not talk about the torrent used to download the album being tracked.

I just wanted to follow up and see if you have any updates to this scenario. BTW, I plan to buy the album.

Regards

Hi File_Girl, Cornett,
Not sure if my previous message got posted here...
I downloaded an album, by mistake but immediately deleted it. This was tagged to the law firm....I never played any song.
There is a particular forum that says that each song has a metadata hardcoded to the song, and if the song is played to an internet connected device, the IP will be tracked and the person will be served a notice. However, it does not talk about the torrent, per se, used to download the album, being tracked.
I just wanted to follow up and see if you have any updates to the scenario. BTW, i do plan to purchase the album
Please advise. Thanks
