Shutdowns

I am using Limewire 4.8.1 on OSX 10.3.9. I have downloaded and installed all updates including Java. When Limewire starts up it loads to the console screen with the pop-up "Do you want to upgrade?". After I respond in any way (later, yes, why?) the Limewire program unexpectly shuts down. The Mac Console gives me the following information:

[Fatal Error] :336:1: Content is not allowed in trailing section.

This is what happens normally. But, about once a day it will start up and work??!!! Does anybody have any ideas? Will upgrading to Pro help?

Thank you.

Re: Shutdowns

Well, for informations only ...because I do not know where the bug is located ...

Quote:

[Fatal Error] :336:1: Content is not allowed in trailing section.
The XML page (XML is the new generation of HTML) you/LW try to open contains null characters (or whitespaces) at the end of the file, in a XML section where such characters are forbidden

The

org.cybergarage.xml.ParserException
parser, i.e. the program which try to interpret the content of the page fails.

So. Either the XML page LW try to open has problem - but in this case, many LW must have the same problem-, either there is a problem in the Java of your 10.3.9

I would suggest you follow this Apple article KB for trying to solve your problem.
Most Java issue in the 10.3.9 update (which is a very bad Apple's update) are solved by applying again the Java update :p

Most Java and 10.3.9 issue with LW are described in the Stickies of this forum
