Limewire to iTunes

The thread I was reading is closed. I for some reason lost iTunes and had to reinstall it, but my library was gone. I know about dragging and such, that's how I made the iTunes library in the first place. But I need an easy way to just put my Limewire library into my iTunes library. I read the suggested info on iTunes and iPods, even though there is no iPod in this case, and nothing can tell me a simple way accomplish my goal.
Thanks.

Well, you can select all the songs from your LW folders from the LW Library window, & drag & drop them onto the iTunes icon on the dock. That's one way. Otherwise as you said, select the Saved files folder within Library window & press Explore which will open the folder for you. Then just select all & drag & drop onto iTunes icon.
I presume you have LW set so it automatically allows iTunes to import the songs seconds after they've been downlded. Go to LW's preferences>iTunes>Importing & tick Enable iTunes importing & press apply.

I do have it enabled for iTunes to import the songs. That's how I got the original list before I lost iTunes. I'll give your other suggestion a try tomorrow - I need a nap. Thanks.:o

I love your little animation icon. Anyway, I am unable to select all the tunes in my limewire library, so I can't try your suggestion. I've been replacing them in iTunes one at a time...

Why not just open up the folder, select all the audio files & drop them onto iTunes icon in the dock. That's the best & fastest way to add multiple audio files to iTunes. Go to iTunes preferences>Advanced tab & make sure the option is ticked to Copy songs to iTunes music folder when importing.

Because I can't find a way to do that. I can select the songs in my limewire library, but when I click as if to drag as one would drag multiple files, nothing happens. Anyway, I'm almost finished moving the songs from my original library, and all the new songs are going into iTunes when they're downloaded. Thanks.
