Question What is the maximum number of hosts you can download from?

I've been using LimeWire 2.3.3 for a little while now and I think it's the best version so far.

Just a couple of things I'd like to know:

When LimeWire is using swarming downloads, is there a limit to number of hosts you can download from? The maximum I've seen is four. I know that some of the hosts in the list of files will not have any available upload slots, but is there another factor - connection speed for example? (mine is DSL).

The other thing is that I'm allowed a maximum of six connections, but when I start LimeWire I only get three and have to manually enter six again in the options.

Other than that, it's great - keep it going guys!

I recently downloaded a large file using 6 hosts. LW 2.3.3 on Windows 2000. Speed set to T3, and 54 connections maintained. At some times, the file was coming down at over 100kb/s

Yes, it seems to me that the connection speed is the key. If you're on a T3 connection, presumably you can connect to 8 hosts as well.
