Options Screen does not show all needed fields I just downloaded Limewire for my Mac Powerbook running system 9.1 When I open the Tools - Options window to set up my preferences, the right edge is cut off in the middle of the button that says "Use Def," which I assume is, if it showed up completely, "Use Default." As part of the same screen, for example, while I can see the sentence, "Days to keep incomplete files," the field into which I would enter the number of days is not visible at all. This sort of behavior shows up in each of the Options screens. As far as I can tell, the screen can't be stretched and I have tried different screen resolutions to see if that might solve the problem. I wrote to Limewire to ask if their "Pro" program, which I would have to pay for, would solve this and only got an automatic response that told me to try posting to the forum. Can anyone help me out with this problem. |
LimeWire Pro doesn´t solve this problem |
So, how can you set up options? So, if Limewire Pro doesn't fix this problem, and Limewire Pro is supposed to be the best program for the Mac, how the heck am I supposed to use the program? Do you know of any way to get the folks at Limewire to actually communicate with their client base? I'd be glad to give them the money if the program would actually work on a Mac as they say it will? By the way, thanks for the reply. |
same problem-option fields are shortened can't post "number of downloads"number as field is cut-off in window. Can this be remedied? |
yes I have the same problem unfortunately in the version beforehand this was not a problem, but now it seems to be. Let's all wait for the next version and hope they fix the bug, because i cannot even turn on my chat! Also the program is slluggish and seems to be programed with the same language Netscape ist, for both have the same colours, the same sluggish behaviour and crash quickly. I wonder what language they use. |
LW 2.2.4 Pro Options window This 'options' window snaff and others first appeared in my LW 2.2.4 Pro... Please check the full text of my reply posted for this problem (no answers) and some other questions in the 'CrossPlatform/installation/Mac' forum... (the same thread is posted there); I thought that it was an 'installation issue. Thank you PS...Is there a way to 'copy' my messages to one forum and 'paste' it into another forum? My traditional (Mac) methods don't seem to work. |
