These volunteers keep the board organized and moving. Moderators are authorized to: (in order of increasing severity) Move posts to the correct forums. Many times, members post in the wrong forum. These off-topic posts may impede the normal operation of the forum. Edit posts. Moderators will edit posts that are offensive or break any of the House Rules. Delete posts. Posts that cannot be edited to comply with the House Rules will be deleted. Restrict members. This is one of the last punishments before a member is banned. Restrictions may include placing all new posts in a moderation queue or temporarily banning the offender. Ban members. The most severe punishment. Three or more moderators or administrators must agree to the ban for this action to occur. If you see a post in the wrong forum or in violation of the House Rules, please contact a moderator via Private Message or the "Report this post to a moderator" link at the bottom of every post. Please do not respond directly to the member - a moderator will do what is required. 8. Any impersonation of a forum member in any mode of communication is strictly prohibited and will result in banning. 9. Multiple copies of the same post will not be tolerated. Post your question, comment, or complaint only once. There is no need to express yourself more than once. Duplicate posts will be deleted with little or no warning. 10. Posts should have descriptive subjects. Vague titles such as "Help!", "Why?", and the like may not get enough attention to the contents. 11. Do not divulge anyone's personal information in the forum, not even your own. This includes e-mail addresses, IP addresses, age, house address, and any other distinguishing information. Don´t use eMail addresses in your nick. 12. Signatures may be used as long as they are not offensive or sexually explicit. 13. Failure to show that you have read the forum rules may result in forum rules breach infraction points or warnings awarded against you which may later total up to an automatic temporary or permanent ban. Supplying system details is a prerequisite in most cases, particularly with connection or installation issues.  search problems I've never had problems with limewire until a few days ago.When i start limewire i connect it says turbocharged.I've disabeled my antivirus and firewall.,and when i go to search for something, anything it shows the search in search tab but dosen't show any results at all no matter what i search for or how i search. i've tried to repair installation,but i still get no results when i do a search. Please can anyone help me with problem. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks cpk333. | 1. Delete the LW Preferences folder called .limewire (whilst LW is closed!) & found here: Windows NT 4.0 / 2000 / XP: C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire OR Windows 98 / ME: Your .limewire folder is in "C:\My Documents" (BUT make a note of all your LW settings 1st, b/c after you delete the LW prefs folder you'll need to reset them.) 2. Go to Tools>Options>Searching & maximize your options. 3. After opening LW let it settle before doing anything. Depending on how many shared & incomplete files you have this can take some time. You shouldn't jump straight in & search. 4. Don't use the Resume/Find Sources on many (if any) files. This will result in your files queuing for much much longer & also use up LW's resources. 5. After LW has been open for at least 30 mins do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is it True/False? 6. * A good idea to make sure you have the latest Java: Java 1.5 (take the JRE) |
