mouse buttons not working

My LW newly installed had a save folder error; that was corrected thanks to your support and LW opens normal. The new problem I have is the mouse does not work on LW. It will highlight things as it covers them but if I click nothing happens. I can't even x out of the program I have to use task manager to shut down.

Using the keyboard I was able to search and it works. please help

Rob Hi.
I would just do a clean install, java or L/W installer sounds corrupt, Not sure
whitch one.

Follow thease instructions exactly.
So, you need to Go, Start/All Programs/LimeWire n Uninstall all L/W versions.
Do Not Uninstall From Change or Remove Programs.
Re BOOT Your computer NOW.

Now Go to, Start/Search/click on all files n folders/more advanced options/
& make sure, case sensitive, is not ticked. (all other boxes should be ticked)
Now!!, Put limewire in box, (all or part of file name) & click search.
Delete everything found, including Prefetch folder, (I mean everything)
Re BOOT Your computer NOW.

Now! Go to,
START/Set Program Access/Change or Remove Programs,
now completely remove all versions of java.
Re BOOT Your computer NOW.

Now! Use this Link to get JRE 6, Use the off line installer, NOT the (recormended) one,
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
When Download is completed.
Disconnect from internet, close ALL apps n reinstall java.

Now!! Use this link to download latest L/W version using the off line installer
http://www.limewire.com/
If you need help, Shout, If it fixed your problem or not, Feedback helps others.
Peace

mouse still not working

I followed your steps exactly and I am still having the same problem unfortunately. In LW my mouse pointer will highlight all of the fields, but when i click them; search for example nothing happens, any other suggestions. mouse works with all other programs exept the java control panel. When I access the java control panel all the fields highlight, but when I click nothing happens. These 2 definately seem linked with the problem.

Uninstall java and reinstall it. maybe run ccleaner or something before reinstalling

try different versions of java in case you still have trouble

First what kind of mouse you use.
The old school ones with the balls in them.
Or wire less mouse they sometime have problems.
Or laser mouse or logitech.
