WireShare License

Hello, I apologize for the stupid question, but the program does not have a license anywhere, and the information specified in the SourceForge project may not coincide with reality, and can also be easily changed.

Therefore, I want to know under which license the program is distributed and where can I get acquainted with it?

Hi s-r-grass,

I'm not involved in the development of WS, but according to this SourceForge page: https://sourceforge.net/projects/wireshare/ WS is distrubuted under the GNU General Public License version 2.0

Gnu GPL also shows in WS's Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WireShare

Hi birdy,

I also saw these links. Unfortunately, Wikipedia is edited by ordinary people, and it’s very often that licenses are written there with an error; apparently, moderators don’t check it at all. The license in the project description on SourceForge does not oblige to distribute for the same. Two times I encountered such a problem. The program was not specified, and in the next version freeware has already been specified. Another case is that in the project one was indicated, and in the program another.

Therefore, I really want confirmation from the developers, at least on the forum. Ideally, add such information to the program.

You might be better off asking this within the WS discussion at SourceForge: https://sourceforge.net/p/wireshare/discussion/1324005/

I think you'll probably have to register there in order to post.

One of the devs is a member here but hasn't been active for months now.

As the original developer, I confirm that WireShare is GPL'ed.
