Library items in Red in download folder
 

In my library area (where it shows the music that was downloaded) there are red words on different lines & in between the song names. why? I also noticed green writing as well ?
any help would be appreciated

Help, I don't know how to post. I don't see a button for posting new message so I am just replying to the first message on the forum.

I think I just go had.

I "googled" limewire in order to get a link to download LimeWire.

I went to the first link and went through the signup process

BUT it looks like my signup was HIJACKED!!!

I ended up with something called MP3Music HQ what charged me $48 buck for some kind of Lifetime Member ship PLUS LimeWire PRO (which, according to LimeWire, I don't have PLUS something called Spy Remover.

ALL I EVER WANTED WAS TO DOWNLOAD LIMEWIRE.

OF COURSE, NOBODY HAS ANY EMAILS THAT YOU CAN USED TO CONTACT THEM.

MONDAY MORNING, I'M CONTACTING THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE STATE OF TEXAS ABOUT THIS.

IN THE MEANTIME, I'M CALLED MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY!!!!

THIS IS BS!!!!

Limewire basic is free and Pro cost$18.88US for 6 months of free updates and support...
You can only get the official Limewire from http://www.limewire.com
You are doing the right thing by contacting your CC company....

Thanks, I will contact CC. Looks like they're using the term ALL-Limewire to scam the unwary (like me).

Sorry to be so obtuse. I can see the button for "New Posts" but, once I click on that, I don't see where I start a "New Thread".

Anyway, at least you confirmed for me that I WAS/AM being scammed.

BTW, I would suggest you get rid of the version of limewire you have, as it may be full of spyware and stuff...Download the legit version from the link I gave you....;)

Just fyi, I got onto the REAL LimeWire site and downloaded (and paid) for the PRO version. Next, I'll take care of the issue with the SCAM problem.

Hello 39470 it seems Caliche Pit has hijacked your thread. LOL. Anyway you mentioned that you see some of the lines of words have red writing. I am curious is this in your library if so it maybe because those are the files you are not sharing.

The red is as suggested by Angry Pirate, unless you see them in the incomplete folder. That's another story.
All shared files start off red when you 1st open LW. But one by one LW will account for them & they will turn black. But those that remain red are not being shared. You can right-click the file to begin sharing or stop sharing. Same applies to the folders.
