LimeWire Help

Hello. i am new to downloading movies (EXTREMELY NEW!) and i really need help on downloading them. when i download them the speed is about 10 - 15 KB/s. how do i make that go faster and what endings should the files have to put on a blank DVD? (ex. mpg. wma. ETC)

THX!!! :) :) :)

The download speed of any file does not only depend on your own internet connection speed, but also on many different factors such as your LW version (pro or basic), the amount of hosts sharing the file, (just to name a view things.)
For more hints on increasing the download speed read here:

Regarding the DVD question, take a look here:

Youu really should ask them to ignore the first post in the thread you suggested. All those issues have been fixed

Thanks for letting me know.....I wasn't aware about that.:o
Has been quite a while since I've read through the thread.
I'll do so the next time I mention this thread,......or better I ask someone to review this thread and remove the not more valid information.....;)

Allready tried that. That post is bad for anyone that has not properly portforwarded their router. It also removes a lot of content for people following the advice, which they probably would have no problem getting. Was told it would be looked into. At least a month gone since then. Still nothing.

Well, let's see if I can "move" something.......at least I'll try.
Thanks anyway for telling me.......;)

That's correct, the references to those on networks with ips of 10. or 192. can be connected to now. However there still are some limitations; eg: would never be able to direct connect to such users. All the same, those with such ip no.'s is a sign they aren't properly configured in regards to firewalls be they softw or NAT.
