hello ! im new usin limewire, need some help (verifying download, speed question)

hi , everyone. im Ariel...(argentina) new at the forum. and using limewire, i have some questions, if someone could help me i'll thank you.
one of my doubht ... i was downloading a movie. and when it's got to an end, it started again, and it says something like..."verifying contents" , is it normal? could I stop a download and continue it a bit later? (next day for ex.)if so. how do I do that?
last question... what does speed depend on? why does it increase and decrease frequently? ok. i hope you can help me ...see you!

Hi, everyone,
I am a new member in this open forum; I am still learning how to use this to get my own benefit.
Yours Sincerely,

Xariel,

LimeWire verifies all downloads for completion before saving them.

You can stop a download by highlighting it and then select "Pause". The download will restart when you select "Resume" (it will also restart the next time you start up LimeWire).

You can also "Cancel" a download. If you later wish to resume the download, select the "Library" tab and then select "Incomplete" on the left panel; a list of files will appear. Right click on the file you want, and select "Resume"; the file will re-appear under the "Search" tab, ready to resume downloading.

The changing download speeds are due to many factors having to do with your connection and server, as well as the connections and servers of all the various sources from which you are downloading.

You may begin a download with, say, 5 sources. The 5 becomes 6, and then 3 of them are dropped and replaced by 3 new sources, each with its own connection speed... Be more concerned with your total KB/s (and LW Pro really makes a difference).

Play with LimeWire; you can't break it, and there's some neat stuff under those tabs!
