Which OS version are you using?
If VISTA then check the red stickies listed at the top of that section. Vista installer needs to be made Admin.

Otherwise, recheck where the program is trying to place the download folder, check that folder's permissions.

OS = Operating System :) So you are using one I see. All computers use some kind of operating system & yours is Windows XP. ;)

I gave you a suggestion to check the folder permissions, either you can't read english or you are .... who knows. :D

There could be a thousand reasons for your problem.

Solutions? Fixes for Limewire (click on blue link), Steps 1-6

Reinstall using http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe

* You must be logged in as an administrator to install LW. :)

Good luck :)

I have limepro running on xp media edition, when i load limewire, all of the dialog boxes are blank, i followed the 6 steps in the earlier fix but no change, i reinstalled using the full.exe and that gave me limewire basic, with no dialog info. i am an existing pro user and would like to stay that way.

Go to your Pro personal download page (I presume you bookmarked the page, wisest thing to do) & download the installer again if you deleted the previous Pro installer. If not then go to your email & get the link from there. Otherwise get the link from your CC receipt. Otherwise get it from the LW Support page.

The problem will either be preferences, too many incomplete files, too many shares, Java installation issue, LW compatibility mode or admin setting. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/333278-post2.html except use your Pro installer.
