What happend to speed and bitrate columns?

I finally decided to support Limewire and just purchased the Pro version. I installed the beta Pro version 5.2.13.

So now I'm really bummed that the speed and bitrate columns no longer exist in the main view screen. why is that? It made it so much easier to scan the list of results and choose only 160kbps or 192kpbs files.

What's the deal?

OK, I know see now that using the filters will bring those columns back. But I guess I prefer the old way.

Lots of people have complained about LW 5 starting from scratch & slowly bringing back things that were in LW 4. But bringing in some new tools also.

For search results, there are two views you can use. Classic & List views; see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/gettin...d-windows.html You will probably prefer Classic view. Right-click top of column to get more column options. ;)

Speed options changed. I think they changed as far back as 4.18 but might be mistaken. LW 5 does not show speed options at all.

For more information about LW 5, see that section here http://www.gnutellaforums.com/gettin...ire-4-5-a.html for the most commonly asked questions & answers. :)

Thanks for the reply.

Change is always going to shake things up a bit I suppose. I prefer the older interface and enjoyed seeing the bitrate in the "classic" window. Though I can sort of regain that column, it's only when using a filter that makes it come back. At the very least, this should be a permanent preference that can be set. But it seems that I have to reset the filter for each search.

The new list window is just a cluttered mess as far as I'm concerned. It is much too difficult to find the information you want quickly...particularly the bitrate.

In short, I dislike the entire interface. For my needs, I should have stayed with the previous version.

You can right-click the heading column, choose to show Bitrate, this column will always show then; be permanent for search results. You can double-click the bitrate column heading to arrange results by largest bitrate at top of column list. :)

Swap to search results Classic view:

Excellent. I somehow missed that. I had tried to add the Quality column and couldn't figure out how to do that. Thanks for the tip.
