 worms and virus greetings and salutations I amsorry this has to be my first post in this forum but I need help. I have been usinglimewire for 2 yearsand never never never had this problem EVERY FILE I DOWNLOAD is corupt with some p2p worm mainly the win32 alcanj i have tried downloading from 1 user and multiple users. I have used the last3 versions of lime wire I have eventurnedof antivirus and tried downloading that way and cleanin file while its still on jump drive to no avail. My question is this IS IT ME???????:mad:  |

 If you are trying to download some program. Yes, it's you If you are not looking at filesize before downloading. Also you If not then please try to give a more detailed description of the problem. What kind of files, use of filters etc.

| yes i am trying to download programs but always .zip or rar im not sure what you mean by filters because i have never had to use filters before. I have never had a problem before downloading anything from limewire it has been a great P2P server I also understand that I am connecting to others pc's and that limewire is just a gateway to them. Try down loading ******* that is the latest file i have tried to access but can not download do to the alcan/32 trojan :mad: (READING RULES WONT POST FILE NAMES) Last edited by bigdaddyg : September 10th, 2006 at 11:48 AM. |

| Best advice is to go out and purchase the software you are trying to d/l.....Guaranteed virus free:wink:. Have you tried checking the files with Bitzi Web Lookup to see if they have been rated by other users. Program files are the most likely to be infected with viruses.

| BadCopy Pro is a copyrighted program and as such is against the Forum Rules to discuss ways to aquire it illegally. My advice to use Bitzi Web Lookup is good and is one way to help distinguish a good file from a bad one. The part about buying it was meant to be tounge in cheek, hence the wink at the end. So I could call you a troll since you you are acting like one. BTW thanks for the response, my post count just went up by one  .

| Pretty please with sugar on top get into your head that Limewire is not a good program to download other programs with. This issue is getting old. If you are so set on obtaining programs illegally then use something else to do it with. There is no other way than to use Bitziweb lookup as the large majority of all applications shared on Limewire contain viruses Look 6_pac. Almost 1.000 now Must now hurry on now to give some more useless advice so I reach the magic number
