How to share downloaded files with other users on my computer

Hi, I'm using windows xp and was able to share the actual limewire software with other users, but how do I make the downloaded files available as well? I don't want to download them again for each user!

Create a folder somewhere. Go to Control panel > Admin Tools > Computer Management > Shared Folders > select Shares. Go to Action menu & select New > File Share. Then browse to find the folder you created. In box below write the name of the folder. Press Next button, then select permissions for all users. Move your downloaded files to this folder. That's how it's done on windows 2000, so win XP should be similar.

thanks for the help. I got to the part with the action menu but there doesn't seem to be a "New > File Share". Anyways, I'll keep trying.

Don't forget to set it for all users. Also if possible, outsider your user account.

I managed to find another way to share the files, simply by saving them in the "shared files" folder already in windows. It works for me! I think I may not have figured this out (at least not so fast) without your suggestion, so thanks again!
