modem crashing

I have the same problem. My modem redials 30 seconds after disconnect, but Gnotella crashes so the downloads don't restart. The program needs to be fixed so it works like ICQ and waits for the new net connection.

One reason this is agravating is because it means you can't let the program run when you go to bed at night and expect your downloads to be finished when you get up in the morning.

it depends how often your ISP disconnects you.. for example mine usually disconnects me, after i've been connected for about 10-12 hours.. your ISP may vary.. but it probably has a similiar time pattern to it, that you can figure out. when i go to bed, with gnotella downloading/waiting, i always reconnect to the ISP first. (of course, many ISP's also will disconnect 'idle' users ('idle', depending on their 'definition').. ICQ works as a great connection 'keep-alive' utility)
