"Emulate Gnucleus"

I made some tests with gnucleus and my connection tab never have any bearshare/limewire host .It only contains hosts running gnucleus , morpheus and other clients .Gnutellanet become a fragmented networks , with "private" parts .Take a look at this funny (and also sad ) sheme http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...?threadid=9192
So I wonder if gnucleus could not fake any other client when trying to connect to bearshare or limewire host .Before trying to connect to those hosts asks them for their ID and try to connect with the same one .So we will be able to take part to this "private" networks .

dont get sucked into the HYPE blackhole here at gnutellaforums. Some people are trying to say that bearshare does not connect to other clients and that it creates a private network. This isnt true at all. BS save the last ( that is 1 spot) for connecting to other BS clients. I run BS and most of my connections are to non-BS clients.

So why are you not connecting to them? Because the network is so large and most of the clients on the network are now gnucleus/morpheus. There are not private networks. I am sure that if you look at your search results you are getting results from BS clients. YOu can download and upload fine with them. There is no reason to spoof the network.

This is pure cheating.

what?

saving ONE connection is pure cheating? Get over it! BS is still fully connected with the gnutella network!

Not only that, but BearShare users were sharing the majority of files on the gnutella network (since LimeWire's ultrapeer clustering made it harder to find their results, unless you were connected to LimeWire hosts).

Only after the Morpheus flood ended, and the tons of new users started sharing files did it begin to seem like BearShare's clustering were affecting the number of available files from BearShare clients.
