As I said SP1 is ok,install chipset drivers as well.My graphic drivers require .net which I dont trust either, until I have Gnucleus working first.Even with broadband u will still have to wait a little while for the symbol to go green. This is the third time I have been unable to connect after removing Gnucleus & trying to reinstall w/out reformatting.
Preferably, minimum drivers is best, chipset, modem,Gnucleus & obviously after update, no music searches until the rest is in place.

You didn't read my post properly!Bare minimum was what i was stressing.
Windows>chipset drivers>modem drivers>configure internet conn>latest Gnucleus & then wait for a reasonable time after connecting for someone else who has the right updates. After that little firecracker thing goes green,Bob's u'r uncle!
You don't need all your other progs to connect, even antivirus.Begin a test on a song & after it starts to d'load, stop it & THEN complete PAIN IN THE BUTT REINSTALL!

I had the same problem as eveyone else here. I did a little research on port forwarding and found the site PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall
It will help you configure your router to allow the Gnutella network
This is the page I went to once I clicked on Gnutella.
PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall
It has a listing of different router names. Just find yours and go through the directions. Hope this fixes yours like it did mine.

This cannot be a simple address problem anymore.I checked the site & everything checked out there. In the past, with the exact same h'ware config & s'ware,it was up & running in minutes.Something blatantly stinks!
We already know that they have been flooding the searches with dummy files but now I think they have set up servers with files that are designed to be uploaded in the initial upgrade search. Some of the more clued up lads involved in programming could probably verify either way.

Surely someone has an idea as to what could be causing this.As I have posted previously, have same configuration, same way of installing.Gnucleus was always up & running within minutes.Installed it b4 anything else,so I am certain no other program is interfering. Are there people out there that are installing it with no problems currently/
like to know how! HELP!

I use Gnucleus 2.2.0.0, but every time I try to search for files, it won't connect. Gnucleus indicates that all known peers are down. Any idea why this is?

You guys need a fresh set of nodes from someone who has recently connected to the network using gnucleus.

Than you will connect.

Hi, I new hear too, nice to be a member. I have read all the posts for connecting problems but found no help, much talk about ini files and preferences but no description as to were to find them, we don't all know were everything is, we join these forums for help, not to be reassured that we don't know much ,just plain help would be nice. I have a wireless modem and can connect to limewire using version 4.10 pro to my laptop but cannot connect to my desktop using same version ,although wired to desktop. No security programs blocking limewire,I checked my router configuration and it is set to allow conecction, I am at a loss right now ,any help would be great, thanks

Definitely LOST! This is the Gnucleus program section not the LW section. I don't see LimeWire written here: Gnutella Forums > Current Gnutella Client Forums > GnucDNA Based Clients > Gnucleus (Windows) - Gnucleus wont connect. Please post in the appropriate LW forum section, not another gnutella program section.

Gnucleus (Windows) does NOT = LimeWire (Different programs)
