Updated Gnucleus Installers!

Here is Gnucleus 2.2.0.0, Gnucleus 2.0.9.0 and Gnucleus 2.0.1.0 with updated WebCache and GnuCache included! Gnucleus 2.2.0.0 have GnucDNA 1.1.1.6, Gnuleus 2.0.9.0 have GnucDNA 1.1.1.4 and Gnucleus 2.0.1.0 have GnucDNA 1.0.2.6! I have the source code to Gnucleus 2.2.0.0 and the GnucDNA too!

If you are planning on using Gnucleus, I highly recommend you blocking port 27016 in your firewall which is only used by spam companies. More about this bottom of this post here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/open-d...tml#post368141. Otherwise you will find your connection list becomes inundated with them. Use the Gnucleus blocklist provided in the Gnucleus Settings installer or Gnucleus Connect Cache for better protection.

* To choose from a Mirror Download site download folder, find all Gnucleus versions "here " (MediaFire). Another mirror link for a few versions at Sabercat here.

Note: You need to register at 4Shared to download the following links below. Easier to choose from the mirror links above.

Download link for Gnucleus 1.8.6.0:

. Gnucleus 1.8.6.0.zip

Download link for Gnucleus 2.0.1.0:

. Gnucleus 2.0.1.0

Download link for Gnucleus 2.0.9.0:

. Gnucleus 2.0.9.0

Download link for Gnucleus 2.2.0.0:

. Gnucleus 2.2.0.0

Source Code for Gnucleus 2.2.0.0:

. Gnucleus 2.2.0.0 source code

Gnucleus Settings installer (Recommended) and see Settings installer and First time use for Setting up Gnucleus after initial installation.

* LOTR Edit and Note: If Gnucleus 2.2 does not run on your system, try 2.0.9 instead. FYI: Each version has its own uninstaller you can find via Start menu -> Programs -> Gnucleus.

If using Vista or later, you should find the installed Gnucleus.exe program and set compatibility to Windows XP SP2 or SP3 or earlier or otherwise settings will not save properly and connection will not be as reliable.

Using 4Shared.com instructions: 4Shared sample image
4Shared is a members only download site, free to sign up there.
.

Note: the Original installers can be downloaded from SourceForge, however it is recommended you separately download installers for upgraded settings offered via Gnutella Forums. The original settings being 2004 or earlier will struggle to connect and result in high concentration of spam host connections.

Hello File_Girl.
The link you gave contains only the executable. Can you send the latest source code as well - please?
I donwloaded from CVS, running it gives:
Gnucleus version 2.0.3.1
GnucDNA version 1.2.0.0
Which seems to be not the latest.
As well what does netgnutella library means? Seems like modified GnucDNA, which library should I use: GnucCom/GnucDNA/netgnutella ?

Thanks alot!!
Moshiko

I know, the link above was only for download the installer for Gnucleus 2.2.0.0! But i have also added a link for downloading the source code for Gnucleus...The one i have is R3, and it's compleat...You should only use the latest GnucCOM.dll not the older GnucDNA.dll...The last official release is GnucDNA 1.1.1.6, and the source have also 1.1.1.7 which was never used! Hope this can help you some how! ;-))

Hi
Indeed the sources are there, however w/o GnucCom only GnucDNAR3...
Did I miss anything?
Another small question is : Visual Studio 2003 did not agree to open the projects - seems they were created in latter version, which one you are using to compile these sources?

Thanks a lot for your help
Moshiko

Yes you must use GnucDNAR3 and GnucleusR3 from the source...And Visual Studio 2003 will not be to enny help here! You can try to use Visual Studio 2005 and up to 2007, Visual Studio 2008 do not work for compile the code!I have not have time for test which Visual Studio works, i only know John Marshall him self have big troubble with compile the source code for Gnucleus with newer Visual Studio!I guess Visual Studio 2005/2006 will be a good start too try to use! ;-))

You need the right version of compiler, which means you may need to search for an earlier compiler version. Later versions seem to have problems compiling the code. File_Girl71 would be able to tell you more about which compiler version works. :)

May I ask where you got these Gnucleus 2.2.0.0 sources?

And could you upload that to a page where one does not have to log in to download?
