LimeWire Beta 2.6.x: preserve Mac OS X preferences Hello As I suggested in another forum ("New Feature Request") - and also as suggested by LimeDude in one of his post (a quarter of hour after that same post of mine) What about using in Mac OS X a separate user directory such as ~/Library/Preferences/LimeWire to store the preference settings of LimeWire instead of collapsing everything in the application directory itself? This could help solving one annoying problem in Mac OS X (each time LimeWire is upgraded the preferences are scratched to the default and the user has to set them again manually). It's compatible also in case an upgraded version should add new parameters in the preferences (the old subset can still be restored). It's compatible in case an upgraded version removes some parameters from the previous preferences (the obsoleted subset could be simply ignored). Additionally, being Mac OS X multi-user, this approach would in principle allow to have one single shared installation of LimeWire but each user will be able to set (and use) his/her own independent preferences.
