Constant Disconnections with 2.8.6!!

Well, I'm afraid to say that this version is causing me even more problems than 2.8.5. Basically it seems to disconnect from the network every five or so minutes, and I don't even have to be doing or downloading *anything*.

I was experiencing a *lot* of download and upload problems with 2.8.5 and I can't even test this version to see if they are fixed.

Anyone else experiencing this?

LimeWire does not even open for me. I get a message saying:

"Fatal Application Error" This Application has Unexpectedly Quit

Invocation of the Java Application has caused as InvocationTargetExption. This application will not exit. (LAX) When I click on Details I get this:

This has nothing to do with the new version. The new version did not change the networking code. Any changes concerning connecting, uploading and downloading are can not be related to the upgrade from 2.8.5 to 2.8.6.

Look at the sourcecode if you don't believe me.

2.8.6 installed with no problems, I even un-installed 2.8.5 beforehand. I don't dispute that the code has not changed, it's just that with 2.8.5 I was not getting this problem and with 2.8.6 I am.

I went back to 2.8.5 and the problem went away, re-installed 2.8.6 and it starts disconnecting me again.

Alcatel ADSL Speedtouch USB Modem with PIPEX as my ISP.

When I say dropped connections, I don't mean LimeWire is physically killing my connection. What I mean is that LimeWire disconnects itself from the Gnutella Network then re-connects itself straight away. Obviosuly, indoing this every five minutes it pretty much makes searching useless, as it normally takes that five or so minutes to build up the hosts and settle down.

Might try going back to 2.7.13 and see what happens.

Cheers
