Not connected?

Im not new to Limewire and its always worked for me, until today. I just gt a new computer last week and I put Limewire on it. Ive used it almost everyday and it hasnt given me any problems, until today. I went to the screen and it said i wasnt connected. I have it set so i automaticaly am connected when i sign online. So i went up to the file button and hit connect. It connected me for only three seconds then it disconnects me. Does anyone have any ideas of what i should do or how i can fix this problem. Do i need to uninstall it and reinstall it or what? Could someone please help me.............

There's been no interruption of the gnutella network size recently, and you know you had a clean set-up for several days after the switch.

I'd think you should not touch anything.
If you're sure nothing changed at your end, might be worth a call to your ISP's internet help desk and confirm you still "have an uninterrupted connection to the gnutella network on port 6346"

Maybe it was just a local temporary interruption of service, so patiently try a few more times and if lucky, you can save some troubleshooting.

Welcome to the LimeWire forums, pendragongirl347. What version of LimeWire are you using? Also are you connected to the internet when you launch LimeWire? One note if you are using a previous version: LimeWire can sometimes take a few minutes to connect.

Most Important

Check that all of your cables, plugs, and cords are properly connected. Simple, but often effective. . . Don't ask me how I know this. . . duh???
