Warning Morpheus 4.0.4 is downloading from LW

Salut à tous, I've been trying the POS 4.0.4 also known as Morpheus... It seems it can dowload from limewire 3.8.x up to 512K....Before connections are closed. Which wasn't the case in anterior versions (I think). Can someone test if morpheus is identifying itself else than MRPH to leech from LW? Morpheus is so lame tabarnak!!! (Québec swear).

someone hating the ****ing lying POS like Morpheus,
et voilà

last night a Gnuc was returning hits based on one of three search terms. (first time I'd seen that in a long time). Possible relation?
(message me if you want to set up a test. I could rename some pics to "voila" and send you the magnets: we could then see what LW 3.9.12 reports, perhaps?)

et voilà May 14th, 2004 04:51 PM

Merci Stief, you made me think that I could do that myself... (it would be easier) the only unknown is that I don't know if Morpheus supports magnet links????

I'll test it and return to you later (with the user agent hopefully...):)

Ciao
Edit: it doesnt seem to support magnet links, that piece o-crap.... And I cant find my files from it even after multiple connections -deconnections cyles which is good...

Lets stay alert with that POS

Yes, Morpheus does support Magnet links; you should also start using Morpheus and notice LimeWire uploads from Morpheus
Also, et voilà lets see you develop a client, before criticizing other peoples work. ;)

It is fairly easy for the Morpheus developers to enable Morpheus to download from LimeWire. There are ways to block them for good (e.g. make it impossible for them to download from LimeWire or to connect to LimeWire without violating the DMCA) but I don't think LimeWire will go down that road.

Gnutella is an open network and as long as that is the case you cannot ban harmful vendors entirely.

Vampmon, you're definetly a weirdo that doesn't know what it is talking about

1)It supports shareaza style magnet not LW ones, I tested it.
2)Morpheus can upload to LW when Morpheus is somehow into the sownload mesh (this happens rarely) If you do get a result from Morpheus from a search (a miracle that happens once a year) it goes into "need more sources" 3 times out of 4.
3)Ok yeah I'm gonna develop a client like Morpheus... oh wait they didn't develop a client, only a gui... yeah I can do that easily on osx without programming knowledge on xcode, but I would pollute the net with another useless client.... what's your point?

Ok now the new Morpheus 4.0.6 downloads files totally from 3.8 and 4.0 Limewires... I think this is because they identify themselves as morpheus instead of the old Morpheus with capital letter at first. If you look at the LW crawler, there are now two groups of morpheus: 1)Morpheus and 2)morpheus.

To whom it may interest... :p

Ciao
