LimeWire & Bittorrent

Just to inform you, I put a version of LimeWire with BT support online. It's working pretty well and relatively stable but it's not perfect yet.

I would appreciate it if you would give it a try.

thanks! I noticed you'd been busy, and this sounds quite promising.

Any tips on getting it to run? Double-clicking the LimeWire.jar gave the following:
Quote:

LimeWire version 4.1.5ggg
Java version 1.4.2_05 from Apple Computer, Inc.
Mac OS X v. 10.3.5 on ppc
Free/total memory: 1785184/2031616

@trap_jaw4:

MRJAdapter.jar isn't in the classpath

@stief

navigate with Terminal to the directory where LimeWire.jar is and run this command:

java -cp .:collections.jar:xerces.jar:icu4j.jar:jl011.jar:i 18n.jar:mp3sp14.jar:ProgressTabs.jar:QTJava.zip:Me ssagesBundles.jar:themes.jar:logicrypto.jar:common s-logging.jar:commons-httpclient.jar:id3v2.jar:ProgressTabs.jar:id3v2.ja r:log4j.jar:jcraft.jar:looks.jar:daap.jar:jmdns.ja r:LimeWire.jar:MRJAdapter.jar com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Main

ah well, you don't need it on windows and linux so it got lost along the way. I'll fix it tomorrow.

thanks roger--that got the app running but it won't connect (has cycled through two sets of 10 hosts).

Guess I'm still missing something. FWIW, here's what I did with terminal
Quote:

Stiefs-iBook:~ stief$ cd /Applications/LimeWire.4.1.5a.ggg
Stiefs-iBook:/Applications/LimeWire.4.1.5a.ggg stief$ java -cp .:collections.jar:xerces.jar:icu4j.jar:jl011.jar:i 18n.jar:mp3sp14.jar:ProgressTabs.jar:QTJava.zip:Me ssagesBundles.jar:themes.jar:logicrypto.jar:common s-logging.jar:commons-httpclient.jar:id3v2.jar:ProgressTabs.jar:id3v2.ja r:log4j.jar:jcraft.jar:looks.jar:daap.jar:jmdns.ja r:LimeWire.jar:MRJAdapter.jar com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Main

Anyway--thanks.

@trap_jaw: I was quite looking forward to trying out the browse folder feature.

Cheers all--à demain
