does LW 4.1.x go to sleep?

If I leave LW running (that's the idea, right?!) and return to it hours later, when I go to the Connections screen I'll only have one working Ultrapeer (and lots of 'attempting connections'). Is this by design, i.e., is LW disconnected all but one link after a certain period of apparent inactivity?

Hi sdsalsero--good to see you're still around.

Yes. LW 4.1.3 introduced adjusting the number of connections relative to the activity of the leaf. Hope that one connection isn't to a .wmv spammer! ;)
Quote:

- Support for 'idle' activity on leaves. When a LimeWire in leaf mode recognizes
that the computer has been idle for greater than 30 minutes, it will drop to only
one Ultrapeer connection, reducing the strain on the network.

Then this would explain why I thought I was having connection problems! I would suggest adding something, a label or message, in the Connection screen that indicates "waking up." Otherwise, it just looks like your system is having trouble maintaining a connection. I know that's what I thought was happening.

Good idea. We'll add that.
