HELP! HELP!
Somebody please advise me what to do so I am able to use m LimeeWire Pro. The following info is from my pc.

Not sure why your getting the java unknown source. Incoming is good. But I am very curious why your LW port is set to 6349??? By default LW uses port 6346 So unless you deliberately changed it due to connection issues, I'd suggest you change it back to port 6346. ie: go to Tools>Options>Advanced>Port & change it & press the Apply button. Also make sure your firewall is the same if you also changed that.

May I suggest you risk your arm & instead update to Java 1.5 (take the JRE)

Did you install the english or multilanguage version of LW?


I don't know if these suggestions will help but you could try them one by one:

1. Repair LimeWire using the Add/Remove Programs utility. Go to Control Panel then Add/Remove Programs & click on Limewire on the Change/Remove button & it comes up with options and one of them is Repair. Try this.
2. Right-clicking the Limewire icon and going to properties and changed compatability setting to Windows 2000.
3. Delete the LW Preferences folder called .limewire (whilst LW is closed!) & found here: Windows NT 4.0 / 2000 / XP: C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire OR Windows 98 / ME: Your .limewire folder is in "C:\My Documents"
4. Right-click on the Limewire icon on the desktop and click on Run as. Then it should come up showing the current user and then switch it over to Administrator.
